Javier earned his Master’s Degree in Urban and Regional Planning from San Jose State University. He worked for almost 10 years in different capacities of urban planning, including: redevelopments, ground-up construction, as well as short- and long-term planning policies. Most of Javier’s work experience took place in the San Francisco-Bay Area, which was the epicenter of Tech Development that led to tremendous growth and challenges to the planning community. This experience helped Javier develop a keen eye for planning policies that facilitated growth and fostered sustainable development in all sectors of the community.
