This project involved transforming a former mercantile space into an immersive and engaging museum, requiring:

• Change of Use Permit:  Securing a change of use permit from the City of Denver to reclassify the space from M-Mercantile to A-3 Museum, ensuring compliance with zoning regulations and building codes for the new occupancy type.
• Tenant Improvement Permit: Obtaining a tenant improvement permit for the interior renovations, including demolition, construction of new walls and exhibits, and associated MEP (mechanical, electrical, and plumbing) work.
• Life Safety Compliance:  Ensuring the design and construction met all life safety requirements for a museum occupancy, including adequate fire suppression systems, emergency exits, and accessibility features.
